Elon Musk Blames Social Activists For Loss Of Twitter's Ad Revenue
Elon Musk replied to a tweet stating that “political/social activist groups agreed not to try to kill Twitter by starving us of advertising revenue”.
Musk said, “if I agreed to this condition” and further mentioned that “they broke the deal”.
This came in response to a Twitter user’s tweet that accused Elon of lying about forming a content moderation council.
Musk on October 28, tweeted about forming a content moderation council and no account reinstatements to happen before that council convenes.
Recently, Elon Musk reinstated former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account based on a poll he ran on Twitter.
Trump was permanently banned from Twitter in 2021 after his involvement in the Jan 6th riot at the US capitol earlier this year.
On November 20, Derrick Johnson, CEO of NAACP tweeted, “Any advertiser still funding Twitter should immediately pause all advertising now.”
