Former FTX US Chief Reaches Out to Investors For Crypto Startup

December 3, 2022

Former FTX US Chief Brett Harrison has been reportedly reaching out to the investors to raise funds for the launch of a new crypto startup.

Harrison is in talks with investors for a new crypto trading software startup, reports said.

According to the reports, the former FTX executive is seeking investors to help raise $6 million at an overall valuation of $60 million.

Harrison left FTX just weeks before it slid into bankruptcy amid allegations of misused customer funds.

Former FTX chief SBF and Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison have been facing allegations of improperly using customer funds.

Before working at FTX, Harrison worked at traditional trading firms, including Jane Street, where he once worked with Bankman-Fried.

FTX's bankruptcy has sent shockwaves through the world of crypto, damaging other exchanges like Gemini and BlockFi, which had filed for bankruptcy.
