French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted that he had a “clear and honest discussion” with Elon Musk about Twitter.
President Macron said, to comply with European regulations, Twitter must strive for transparent user policies, reinforcement of content moderation and protection of freedom of speech.
President also announced that Elon Musk has confirmed Twitter's participation to the Christchurch Call.
Emmanuel Macron also informed that they will work with Twitter to improve online child protection.
Responding to this, Elon Musk replied, “Absolument”.
In an interview on Good Morning America on Thursday, when President was asked about Elon Musk’s relaxing content moderation policies on Twitter, he replied it’s an “a big issue”.
After Elon Musk acquired Twitter, the microblogging site made serval changes, the most famous in it is $8 for blue tick.
