BIT Mining Limited Reveals A Major Cyberattack

In a press release today, BIT Mining revealed that its subsidiary BTC.com, experienced a cyberattack on December 3, 2022.

Approximately $700,000 in asset value owned by BTC.com's clients were stolen in the cyberattack.

Additionally, $2.3 million in asset value owned by the company were also stolen.

The publicly listed company reported this incident to law enforcement authorities in Shenzhen, China.

Authorities have already launched an investigation into the cyberattack and began collecting evidence.

The firm announced that BTC.com’s client fund services are unaffected.

BIT Mining provides multi-currency mining services including BTC, ETH and LTC.
