Elon Musk “An Extraordinary Executive”- James Gorman

December 02, 2022

The era of Elon Musk at the helm of Twitter has been tumultuous as he suspended and resumed accounts,  experimented with paid memberships, and celebrities social distancing from his network.

James Gorman, CEO of Morgan Stanley, at a Reuters conference defended tech billionaire saying, “I wouldn’t bet against Elon Musk”.

He referred to Elon’s Twitter as “a great company” and Musk as “an extraordinary executive”.

To facilitate Musk's acquisition of Twitter,

Morgan Stanley

was the lead bank for a massive $13 billion debt financing.

James said they don’t get behind that kind of business and opportunity unless it’s real and it’s very real.

He counts Musk alongside Steve Jobs and Bill Gates as one of the most interesting entrepreneurs of the last 50 years.

He further said that it’s a shame for an institution that walks away from doing business with Elon.
