Sam Bankman-Fried, former FTX CEO, has been placed under house arrest after being scheduled to be released on a bond of $250 million.

The New York Post reported that SBF was visited by bestselling author Michael Lewis during house arrest.

Writer Michael Lewis met SBF for " several hours " shortly after he was placed under house arrest at his parents' home in Palo Alto, The New York Post reported.

It was previously reported that Lewis had been interviewing SBF for six months and was planning to write about SBF before his crypto empire collapsed, according to The Ankler.

SBF parents have increased security by paying private armed guards and installing cameras.

While under house arrest SBF has to wear an electronic ankle monitor. He is allowed to leave home to exercise and seek mental health and substance abuse treatment.

Due to a potential conflict of interest, US District Judge Lewis Kaplan has been appointed to SBF's case to replace Judge Ronnie Abrams.
