Tory Cabinet Minister’s Twitter Account Hacked To Post Crypto Scam

British Education Secretary Gillian Keegan’s twitter account started posting tweets promoting cryptocurrency earlier today.

Gillian Keegan’s twitter’s profile picture was changed to Elon Musk for promoting fake crypto giveaways.

Compromised Twitter account then posted about an event that would be hosted by Musk’s companies Tesla and Twitter.

The twitter account posted that Elon is hosting an event on Christmas.

However, these tweets were taken down after 12 hours of posting them.

The hack comes after it emerged Liz Truss’s mobile was hacked by Russia.

Despite Musk’s claim of clamping down on spam bots, Twitter continues to witness these types of scams.
